China-EU Innovation Dialogue (Phase 1) Successfully Held by China-EU Science, Technology, Innovation and Development Research Center


On the afternoon of June 7, 2022, the China-EU Innovation Dialogue (Phase I) initiated by the China-EU Science and Technology Innovation and Development Research Center was successfully held through the ZOOM online conference. More than 80 experts and scholars from home and abroad participated in the conference.

The China-EU Science and Technology Innovation and Development Research Center is a group of Chinese and European scholars supported by the China Association for Science and Technology "One Belt One Road" International Science and Technology Organization platform construction project. It is committed to the interaction of science, technology and innovation (STT) to promote Sustainable development. The China-EU Innovation Dialogue is a brand academic exchange activity created by the China-EU Science and Technology Innovation and Development Research Center. It is committed to building the latest scientific and technological innovation policy research results exchange and China-EU innovation cooperation practice platform for Chinese and European scholars. It mainly focuses on the scientific and technological development situation, scientific and technological policy hotspots, and innovation. Discuss cooperation trends, intellectual property protection, scientific and technological personnel training and other topics to promote exchanges between Chinese and European academic circles in the field of scientific and technological innovation policies, deepen mutual understanding and lay a solid foundation for cooperation.

The meeting was presided over by Professor Cai Yuzhuo of the School of Management and Business of the University of Tampere, Finland. Mu Rongping, chairman of the Chinese Society for Science and Technology Policy, attended and delivered an opening speech. Anna L. Ahlers, head of the Lise Meitner Research Group "China in the Global Science System" of the Max Plancad Institute, and Professor Huang Can of the School of Management of Zhejiang University made keynote speeches on "Trends in European-Chinese Research Cooperation" and "Intellectual Property Governance in Cyberspace" respectively. Chairman Mu Rongping and Maximilian Mayer, Professor of International Relations and Global Technical Politics at the University of Bonn, commented on the reports of the two speakers respectively, other scholars around the two experts launched a heated discussion. The meeting was a complete success.
